Ms. Candelaria’s Supply List

2nd Grade – Room 218

2008-2009

I would like to request that the students bring in a few supplies for the start of the school year.  Most of these items will be used as community supplies, however I will ask that you label some items with a permanent marker (Sharpie) because these will remain in possession of the students all year.  I will have extras available in case this list is too much.

 Classroom “community” supplies

Please DO NOT label with names:

-       (4 or more) thick, black dry erase markers (preferably EXPO)

-       (4-8) glue sticks

-       (12, or more if possible) yellow #2 pencils *no fancy pencils in school*

-       (4-8) pink wedge erasers

-       (1-2) WIDE RULED notebook paper packages

-       2-3 Kleenex boxes

-       1 roll of paper towels

-       post it notes (standard size or bigger/any colors)

Individual supplies

PLEASE LABEL ALL OF THE THINGS ON THE FOLLOWING LIST WITH A FIRST NAME (a fine line Sharpie pen works well)

-       (3) wide lined spiral notebooks (single subject, 70 sheets)

-       three-ring binder: 1-2 inches, preferably with pockets

-       heavy duty folder for homework (any color/design) – label “Homework Folder”

-       folders – 2 pockets: 1 red, 1 yellow, and 1 green

-       sock (to use as eraser for white boards) OR dry eraser

-       pair of student scissors

-       box of 16 crayons

-       box of thick or thin point Crayola washable markers

-       desk storage box to hold crayons & markers

Please send these supplies with your child on the first day of school.

Keep at Home

You may want to keep 1-2 spiral notebooks at home to replace filled homework folders.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
